Q:Why does the base color of the product or the color of the film become darker after printing?
1) Your product color is too dark,and the white base of the thermal transfer film is not thick, resulting in the product colorshowing through after printing. You can use 2 or even 3 layers of white on the design artwork.
2)Thicken and deepen the white ink,or use high-concentration white.
Q:How to ensure that the colors of design drawings are more standard?
1) For the electronic draft, the customer confirms the color and size. If there is a 5% difference between the product and the design draft, the customer will be informed in advance.
2) Use Pantone color cards to compare color numbers with customers.
Production Process
Production Process of Thermal Transfer Film:
1. Cylinder Making (Gravure Engraving) -A precision engraved cylinder is created with the desired pattern using laser or chemical etching. -The cylinder's surface contains microscopic cells to hold ink for high-resolution printing.
2. Printing (Gravure Printing) -The film substrate (PP, PET, etc.) is fed through a gravure printing press. -Ink is transferred from the engraved cylinder onto the film in layers (multi-color printing).
3. Drying (Hot Air or IR Drying) -Each printed layer passes through a drying oven to evaporate solvents and fix the ink. -Temperature and speed are controlled to prevent defects like smudging or bubbling.
4. Cutting/Slitting - The dried film is precisely cut into rolls or sheets based on customer specifications. - Slitting machines ensure uniform width and edge quality.
5. Quality Inspection - Automated optical scanners check for color accuracy,scratches, or misprints. - Defective sections are removed to maintain consistency.
6. Packaging - Approved rolls are wrapped in protective film to prevent dust and moisture damage. - Labeled and packed into boxes/pallets for shipment.
