Production Process
1. Make Cylinder (Engraving & Plate Making)
* A printing cylinder (or gravure roller) is engraved with the desired design or label pattern.
* The cylinder's surface is etched with fine details to ensure accurate ink transfer during printing.
2. Printing (Gravure or Flexographic Printing)
* The heat transfer film is printed using gravure or flexographic printing techniques.
* Specialized inks (often solvent-based or UV-curable) are applied layer by layer to create vibrant, high-resolution designs.
* Multiple colors are printed sequentially, with precise registration to avoid misalignment.
3. Drying (Ink Curing & Solvent Evaporation)
* After printing, the film passes through a drying oven to evaporate solvents and solidify the ink.
* Proper drying ensures smudge-free, scratch-resistant prints and enhances adhesion properties.
4. Cutting (Slitting & Sheeting)
* The printed film is cut into rolls or sheets based on customer requirements.
* Precision slitting machines trim the edges and divide the film into the correct width for labels or stickers.
5. Quality Inspection (QC Testing)
* Each batch undergoes strict quality control to check for defects like color inconsistency, misprints, or adhesion issues.
* Samples are tested for durability (scratch resistance, chemical resistance, and heat transfer performance).
6. Packaging & Shipping
* Approved heat transfer films are carefully packed in protective rolls or sheets to prevent damage.
* They are then labeled and shipped to customers for application on PE/PP buckets, 5-gallon bottles, or other products.
